Excellent presentation of memorabilia. Was lucky to have a couple of elderly locals to give colour to the displays. Allow 3 hours. Take a coffee.
Very interesting collections of last century artefacts. Cameras, WW1 & 2 memorabilia, household appliances, and a large shell collection to name but a few. 3 buildings, can spend 2 hours there easily. Well worth the time and money. Bus stops at the front door.
Very Good place to visit if you are into history or not you will not regret visiting this building. Filled with historical information about Broome. and even if history is not your thing it's still worth a look. Entry price is very reasonable and goes towards the upkeep of the Society. Mostly ran by volunteers. A must do while you are in Broome. They will be very greatful for your visit.
Nice small place. $12 fee.Prefer to explore nature but this was something different. Guides/better explanations would help.
Extremely interesting about the history of Broome. Fantastic shell Collection and facts about the pearling industry in Broome. Very interesting DVDs playing continuously. All run by volunteers and you can get a pass out valid for 7 days if you want to return. We paid $8 each for senior entry and it was worth every cent.
